Here in Germany, at 14 you are legally old enough for sexual activities (with other teenaged people). Teaching abstinence might just lead them to be secretive about it.

i kinda understand Eric- its hard to cope and learn your own emotions and sociality when the place you go to relax and to wind down is in total chaos and disarray- theres no way you can be peaceful in there. Im sure he would had more social outlook on people if he wasn't always so overwhelmed with the chaos of his siblings... Ofc, im no professional on this, just speaking from personal experience.

This was 15 years ago. Little Eric is almost his father's age now. Even the little ones are out of high school. The middle child is probably well adjusted and graduated college by now. I wonder what they're all doing now?
